UNDER CONSTRUCTION

As well as using the laptop in the aid of services, other ideas for the IT group include:

• Helping people learn basic computing skills
• Introduction on Web Sites (and how to write them)
• Using Word processors and spreadsheets
• Programming

It is anticipated that some of these can be done in partnership with the TECC centre in Burslem which is a small community enterprise set up to help the unemployed. Also, there appears to be other facilities for training and help: (see BBC Radio Stoke Learning Centre)
