Planning for Real prioritising the issues

Author: Paul Howard

After a great holliday in France , irst of all with the grandchildren in Northern France and then just the two of us camping in the Alps, the Ecrins National Park and finally in the Alps maritime about 15 miles from Monte Carlo, it was back to work with a bang.
All the normal sort of church life including looking at how we handle our money, not a popular theme with some , but it wasn't in Jesus day, then into the next stage of Planning for Real. We had two sessions of training with Neighbouirhood initiatives on how to prioritise an action plan. We are now into planning events for this stage, please see the diary for dates. We have just done some of this with students at Clough Hall school and it was really interresting to see them wrestle with the issues and work out what was a priority and who would work on the issue - the school, Youth Service, or Council. Now adults have to have a go and we hope many who took part in the first consultation will come back and say how we should move forward and who knows actually gt involved.
Finally this next week I pass a milestone in becoming 60 and getting my bus pass, my doesn't life go quick. Just as well I've got all of eternity to look forward to!

Planning for Real keeps going

Author: Paul Howard

As you go off on your summer holidays I am still involved in "Planning for Real" consultations. Look at the web site for more information on Planning for real.Things have gone well and hundreds of people have now been consulted on the issues in Butt Lane and Talke. Many church members have been involved in the consultations at school sports days, Freeport, Residents groups, Clough Hall school and many more venues. Once people get the hang of it they really get involved some even coming back for a second go.
In August the steering group will be meeting with a representative from Planning for Real, Andy Boyes, to see how we use all the data in what they call "prioritisation and planning". This will take place in the Autumn with some training in September and then feedback consultations in October and November. Many thanks to everyone who has worked so hard on this project I really appreciate you , you have been fantastic. if you want to get involved in the next stage just let me know.
