2nd Oct 2021

Dear Brothers and Sisters,

There is a Jewish wedding blessing that says, ‘a family truly United in love brings blessings upon its members and their friends,’ and this applies equally to Christian marriage. This weekend in our Sunday readings we meditate on what Christian Marriage truly means and we pray for that gift of unity in love for all families, so that what God has joined together May stay together and grow in his love.

However, to maintain a safe distancing, four people at a time will be communicated, kneeling at Altar Rail. As soon as you have received, please make room for those behind you. If then you then would like to receive from the chalice you may do so by kneeling at the Altar Rails in Saint Catherine’s Chapel, to the right of the main Altar.

OUR NEXT PCC MEETING will take place this Wednesday, 6th October, after Vespers (the Church’s Evening Prayer) at 6.00 pm.

SAINT MARTINS DAY AND THE BROWNE WILLIS DINNER. Our usual festivities will take place this year in honour of our Parish’s Patron Saint and places have been reserved at the Fenny Kitchen for the evening of Thursday the 11th at 7pm. The cost of the three course meal will be in the region of £15 per head. Drinks will be extra. A list is now available at the back of Church.

WE STILL NEED VOLUNTEERS. At the present time we have a real shortage of volunteers to help with teas and coffees after the Parish Mass on Sunday mornings. We are now down to three people who find themselves doing this continuously. Could we have some more volunteers please?

And let Light Perpetual shine upon them.

God keep you all.
