FIFTH SUNDAY IN ORDINARY TIME
- 5th February 2023
My Dear Brothers and Sisters,
Our lives must show our faith. It’s as simple as that and it’s as hard as that. Only if we are seen to both practice our faith through regular worship and prayer and care for the hungry, the poor and the helpless will we be lights to lead others to praise God. As Saint Francis once said, “Lead others to God by your example and use words if you have to.”

OUR NEW BISHOP
We give thanks for the Consecration of a new bishop, Father Paul Thomas, who will have pastoral care of this parish. We pray that he will be a faithful pastor, teacher and high priest.
You have chosen your servant, Paul, to be a shepherd of your flock. Give him a spirit of courage and right judgment, a spirit of knowledge and love. By governing with fidelity those entrusted to his care, may he build your Church as a sign of salvation for the world. We ask this through Christ our Lord. Amen.
IF YOU HAVE ANY PRAYERS or Mass intentions you would like me to offer at Mass or if would like someone added to our parish prayer list of the Sick or Departed.
