Jan 15th 2022

My Dear Friends, In the Sunday’s of Ordinary Time we begin to reflect on the power of God at work in Christ Jesus as He teaches, heals and works miracles. This Sunday we are presented with the first miracle He wrought at the Wedding feast at Cana In Galilee. Every time we join in the offering of the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass we have a glimpse of the Heavenly Banquet that we hope and pray we may be participants in ourselves at the end of lives led in faithfulness to the gospel. We are reminded especially by this particular gospel that each and every Mass is akin to a wedding banquet in which our Lord is the bridegroom showing His love for us, His bride, by providing that food and drink that fulfils our inmost spiritual needs.
