Dear Brothers and Sisters,

SAINT MARTINS CHURCH REMAINS OPEN TO CELEBRATE THE SACRAMENTS AND SHARE THE WORD OF GOD.

HOWEVER, DUE TO THE NEW VERY INFECTIOUS STRAIN OF COVID 19 I STILL CONTINUE TO STRONGLY URGE THAT IF YOU HAVE ANY UNDERLYING MEDICAL CONDITIONS, PLEASE CONSIDER SERIOUSLY NOT ATTENDING CHURCH JUST NOW FOR A COUPLE OF WEEKS MORE UNTIL THE RATE OF INFECTION COMES DOWN AND THE DISTRIBUTION OF THE VACCINE STARTS TO MAKE A MARKED IMPACT.

WHILE BAPTISM AND THE HOLY EUCHARIST ARE TRULY NECESSARY FOR OUR SALVATION, OUR LORD WILL PERFECTLY UNDERSTAND A SHORT ABSENCE FROM THE EUCHARIST AT THIS TIME.

IT IS, I ACCEPT, NOT AT ALL THE SAME AS ATTENDING IN PERSON AND RECEIVING OUR LORD IN HOLY COMMUNION AND ALL THE OTHER TRUE BLESSINGS WE RECEIVE WHEN WE COME TO MASS. HOWEVER I URGE YOU TO JOIN US ONLINE ON OUR PARISH FACEBOOK PAGE FOR OUR BROADCAST MASS ON SUNDAYS AND WEDNESDAYS.

AND ABOVE ALL I PRAY THAT YOU ALL KEEP SAFE AND WELL.

Father Victor

Services this Sunday:

8 am Mass

10 am PARISH MASS for the Feast of the Presentation of Our Lord in the Temple or ‘Candlemass’

This weekend sees what is very much the concluding chapter of the Christmas Season. Around 40 days ago Our Lord was born for us: now we see him as the light to enlighten all the peoples of the Earth - the guide who will lead them on the way to salvation, glory and eternal life.

AND SO TO THE NOTICES

While I have urged those with underlying medical conditions to avoid Church for a few weeks. Nevertheless, Saint Martins remains open for the worship of almighty God and Mass is still being celebrated for the glory of God and for our benefit. So for all those who wish to partake, the Body and Blood of our Lord, the medicine for our souls, the divine gift that strengthens our incorporation into the Divine life of Our Lord, and the source of Grace, is still available.
