EASTER SUNDAY - 31st March 2024

My Dear Brothers and Sisters,

Alleluia! Christ is risen. He is risen indeed. Alleluia! Christ's resurrection is and always has been at the very heart of the church's message from the Day of Pentecost to the present. By rising from the dead, Our Lord Jesus Christ has demonstrated to us that He has cleansed the guilt of our past and is able to help us, now, in our present lives. His resurrection assures us that living our lives as His disciples after His very own example, our future is safe and secure. Without Christ's resurrection we would have no salvation from sin, and no hope for our own future resurrection.

Yet the empty tomb is proof of Christ's divinity and the truth of His life and message.  It guarantees the future resurrection of all those who believe. It provides human live with its true meaning and purpose. And the bodily resurrection of Jesus Christ is evidence that God will one day judge the world in righteousness. Alleluia! Christ is risen. He is risen indeed. Alleluia!
