THE SIXTH SUNDAY OF EASTER - 25th
Dear Parishioners,
As we approach the Sixth Sunday of Easter, I invite you to reflect on the profound love Our Lord has for each of us—love that is rooted in His promise to send the Holy Spirit, our Advocate and Guide. Today’s Scripture readings remind us of our calling to remain faithful to Christ’s commandments, especially His greatest commandment: to love one another as He has loved us.
In the first reading, we see how the early Christian community was inspired by the Spirit to live in harmony and unity, drawing all people into God's family. The Gospel offers Jesus’ comforting words to His disciples, assuring them—and us—that the Holy Spirit will be with us, teaching us and reminding us of His love and commandments.
As we prepare to celebrate the Eucharist together, let us open our hearts to God's mercy, acknowledging that we sometimes fall short of His call to love and unity. Today, I encourage us all to renew our commitment to live as witnesses of Christ’s love in our daily lives, strengthened by the Spirit.
May this Sunday be a time of renewal and grace for each of us, as we listen to God's Word and receive the Eucharist, the source of our strength and unity.
With every blessing in Christ,
Father Victor Bullock
