11th Sept 2021

Dear Brothers and Sisters,

This Sunday we hear how Saint Peter professed his faith in Our Lord. And so we too should be led to renew our faith. Each and every time we participate in the Eucharist, the Holy Mass, we should seek to acknowledge Jesus as the Son of God, our Saviour and Lord who is really and substantially present for us in Holy Communion. In that precious gift He feeds and sustains us so that we may be filled with Grace, renewed and moulded into the person that He wants us to be. The conversion of our hearts and lives is the purpose of His continued presence in the Eucharist. Receiving Him in faith, participating in the life of His Church and the other Sacraments He has given prepares us for the life of Heaven.

However, to maintain a safe distancing, four people at a time will be communicated, kneeling at Altar Rail. As soon as you have received, please make room for those behind you. If then you then would like to receive from the chalice you may do so by kneeling at the Altar Rails in Saint Catherine’s Chapel, to the right of the main Altar.

THE 8.00 am SUNDAY MASS. As we seek to serve a variety of needs and preferences the 8 am Mass on Sundays will be celebrated according to the ‘Usus Antiquor Anglicana’ - the Book of Common Prayer enriched in good old Anglo-Catholic fashion from the English Missal.

For our Ambulance Service and for our other Emergency Service Staff and for Milton Keynes Hospital and all who work there.

For Bishop Jonathan, for Father Victor, Father Ian and Father John and for all parish clergy as they seek to continue to make present in our midst the Sacrifice of the Holy Mass, the other Sacraments of Christ and offer continuing Pastoral care.

We pray too for all whose whose Year’s Mind occurs at this time.

We remember Chris Kliszewicz for whom the Blessed Sacrament Lamp burns this week and for Miroslawa Kliszewicz for whom Our Lady of Walsingham’s Lamp burns this week.

Rest eternal grant unto them, O Lord.

And let Light Perpetual shine upon them.

God keep you all.
