Dear Brothers and Sisters, Christ our Lord, the Holy and Just One, truly suffered. It seems that on all sides and through all of time that injustice seems to continually gain the upper hand. So for us it takes true faith in God’s wisdom to see that, like Our Lord himself, we too will have to suffer on our way to eternal happiness.

TEA AND COFFEE IS SERVED AFTER MASS ON SUNDAYS - DO JOIN US FOR FELLOWSHIP.

CHANGES TO RECEIVING HOLY COMMUNION DURING THE PARISH MASS. We now use the Communion rails, once again, for Holy Communion. However, to maintain a safe distancing, four people at a time will be communicated, kneeling at Altar Rail. As soon as you have received, please make room for those behind you. If then you then would like to receive from the chalice you may do so by kneeling at the Altar Rails in Saint Catherine’s Chapel, to the right of the main Altar.

DECORATING THE CHURCH FOR HARVEST THANKSGIVING. For those that have volunteered to help with this, we are meeting THIS FRIDAY THE 24th, after the 10 am Mass, to decorate the Church in preparation for the Parish Harvest Festival Celebration.

We need suitable items such as bread, wheat, grapes and othe fruit and vegetables, as well as plenty of tinned items for our St. Anthony’s Basket and the Bletchley Food Cupboard. Please help.

SAINT MARTINS DAY AND THE BROWNE WILLIS DINNER. Our usual festivities will take place this year in honour of our Parish’s Patron Saint and places have been reserved at the Fenny Kitchen for the evening of Thursday the 11th at 7pm. The cost of the three course meal will be in the region of £15 per head. Drinks will be extra. A list will be available soon.

TIME OF CHRISTMAS EVE MASS. 8 am or 10 pm? Let us know what you think?

THE 8.00 am SUNDAY MASS. As we seek to serve a variety of needs and preferences the 8 am Mass on Sundays will be celebrated according to the ‘Usus Antiquor Anglicana’ - the Book of Common Prayer enriched in good old Anglo-Catholic fashion from the English Missal.

Please continue to remember the following in your prayers:

Firstly:

For those returning to school, college or University, that they may be kept safe and well.

That we may be able to raise the necessary funds to complete the program of repairs on the Church building.

For the continuing process of opening up society once more and for a continued drop in the rate of Covid infections and in the number of hospitalised victims.

For the continued rapid dissemination of the Vaccines for Covid 19 and for all working for this end.

For those who work, particularly those who have families or other dependents.

For the Government as they seek to rebuild after these very difficult months.

For peace to reign within our homes and amongst one another.

For the elderly, housebound and those living in residential and nursing homes.

For our Ambulance Service and for our other Emergency Service Staff and for Milton Keynes Hospital and all who work there.

For Bishop Jonathan, for Father Victor, Father Ian and Father John and for all parish clergy as they seek to continue to make present in our midst the Sacrifice of the Holy Mass, the other Sacraments of Christ and offer continuing Pastoral care.

For the Monastic Community of the House of Initia Nova of the Order of Saint Benedict as it seeks a new home. For it’s Abbot, Michael-John Austin, for the community and for those new to its life.

For the Sick:

For Christopher Douglas, David Adler, Susan Carter, Pam Wilderspin, Abbot Michael-John, Amie Reed, Paul Ward, Jean Holden, Peter White, Roger D’Elia, Norman Kent, Denis & Yvonne Simpson, David Lingham, Sandra Walduck, Eugenius Yung and Doris Weatherley.

For the Departed:

For Anthony Seymour, for all the recently departed and for all those who have died of Covid 19.

We pray too for all whose whose Year’s Mind occurs at this time.

Rest eternal grant unto them, O Lord.

And let Light Perpetual shine upon them.
